What exactly is the definition of a superfood? You hear about superfoods so often, whether it’s in newspapers, television, or simply mentioned in certain recipes. 


In a nutshell, a superfood is a type of food that is rich with nutrients, as well as compounds such as fibre, vitamins, and antioxidants. Superfoods are like fuel for your body and they are highly beneficial for your health. Avocados

In recent times, avocados have become such a popular preference for people to include in their breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. 


The green pear-shaped fruit is a highly nutritious superfood, filled with fibre and minerals such as copper, iron, and potassium, and is also an excellent source of vitamin E. It has also been suggested that avocados are beneficial for your eyes too, as they contain antioxidants such as lutein and zeaxanthin which are crucial for your eye health.


Avocados are also something you can seamlessly incorporate into your daily diet as they are so versatile in how you can eat them! You can have it on toast, mix it in with scrambled eggs, create an avocado-based salad, or even use as a substitute for mayonnaise!

Oats are a completely natural superfood, and are packed with nutrients, antioxidants, and fibre. They also help to reduce the speed at which cholesterol is absorbed into the bloodstream, meaning that they are excellent for the heart, especially if you have high cholesterol. 


To fully gain the advantages of oats, it is best to eat them on a regular basis. For example, you could include them in smoothies to thicken it up, you could whip up some oatmeal pancakes, or you could mix oats with natural yoghurt and fruit. One brilliant thing about oats is that they tend to fill you up properly, which will prevent you from snacking on something unhealthy and you will feel satisfied.
