What does the class involve?
Zumba is a dance fitness program that involves both dance and aerobic elements. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo, also incorporating squats and lunges. Zumba classes are up to an hour long and you can expect to burn up to 750 calories, all with the aim of having fun! A great way to help you build strength, improve motion and posture in an exhilarating environment with like-minded people, with the addition of dancing to great music, with great people, burning a ton of calories without even realising it.

Regardless of age, ability or gender, Zumba fitness isn’t necessarily a bespoke workout for one group of muscles; it is about enjoying the music and incorporating a number of dance elements. All that we ask is for you to be energetic and willing to try something a bit different. You never know, you might turn out to really enjoy it. If you’re not comfortable in meeting new people to start with, bring along a friend that you feel would really get into Zumba!
