What does the class involve?

Our Les Mills RPM™ class involves indoor cycling, set to the rhythm of motivating music, pushing you to be able to burn up to 620 calories* a workout, getting fit fast.

Learn all the basic cycling moves like standing up, sitting down, and changing hand positions, speeding up and slowing down. You control your own resistance levels and sprint speed so you can build up your training level over time. If you want a true sense of achievement, get into an RPM class today. RPM is available as either a 45 or 30-minute workout.

Who can attend RPM?

Our RPM classes give you complete control of the intensity you would like to work at. You control the resistance that ultimately determines how tough your workout is. Ultimately beginners or experienced members can attend, regardless of age or physical strength, so there is no excuse not to attend! It is easy to get into as you will be taught all of the basics to ensure you get the most out of each session.

What are the benefits of RPM?

RPM ultimately improves your cardio vascular endurance, i.e. your stamina of hard working exercise. An improved cardio output will have its own benefits for the rest of the body as you notice physical results through leg muscle toning as well as improving your overall state of mind the more sessions you attend, as you learn to push yourself harder beyond your boundaries in a safe environment.

What does the class involve?

Zumba is a dance fitness program that involves both dance and aerobic elements. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo, also incorporating squats and lunges. Zumba classes are up to an hour long and you can expect to burn up to 750 calories, all with the aim of having fun! A great way to help you build strength, improve motion and posture in an exhilarating environment with like-minded people, with the addition of dancing to great music, with great people, burning a ton of calories without even realising it.

Our Zumba classes are perfect for anyone and everyone!

Regardless of age, ability or gender, Zumba fitness isn’t necessarily a bespoke workout for one group of muscles; it is about enjoying the music and incorporating a number of dance elements. All that we ask is for you to be energetic and willing to try something a bit different. You never know, you might turn out to really enjoy it. If you’re not comfortable in meeting new people to start with, bring along a friend that you feel would really get into Zumba!

What are the benefits of Zumba?

Zumba combines many elements that make up your overall fitness, with both sides of dance and aerobics working different parts of the body.

It is regarded as a ‘total workout’, enhancing your cardio by constantly moving about, conditioning muscles in the process, but also improving both your balance and flexibility, pushing your range of movement for every dance move you complete. At the end of every session you will be full of energy as a result of sheer enjoyment from the class, which is what the class is all about, not only benefitting you physically but also improving you quality of life making new friends in what could be a new and exciting experience in your life.

What does the class involve?

Running, squatting, lunging, pumping, skipping, hopping, pressing, spinning; you name it circuits has it!

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity aerobics. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, you will start the first exercise again for the next circuit. The time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise.

Who can attend Circuits?

Circuit training can be adaptable to each person, with beginners having the option to perform basic moves and use less weight during the class. Circuit training can be more intense than most people realise, so expect to be pushed and experience a number of different techniques throughout the exercise.

Circuit training is also great for those with a busy lifestyle who need to combine a strength and aerobic routine into one.

What are the benefits of Circuits?

Quickly switching to different techniques will keep you interested and focused while using your whole body to keep fit. Spending small amounts of time on each exercise keeps your whole body involved. Circuits is great for burning calories while sculpting and maintaining muscle, and as with most fitness classes, helps to maintain a healthy state of mind and reduce potential health risks including heart disease and high blood pressure.

What does the class involve?

Legs, bums and tums has been designed to push all muscle groups in this full body toning exercise class, primarily targeting the all-important legs and bum whilst toning the abdominals. Fitness stations are set up to target each muscle group, with one minute exercises on each one, small intervals between sets help you catch your breath, briefly before moving on to the next in order to maximise results. Expect to burn up to 600 calories in this challenging group class.

Some exercises include; Squats, the plank, alternate leg raises, abdominal crunches, skipping, pad work, supermans (on exercise ball), oblique crunches, barbell reverse curls and dorsal raises.

Who can attend Legs, Bums & Tums (LBT)?

LBT classes are suited to all levels from beginners to those with more experience and can last for up to an hour per class. There are no set targets for each station of exercise, it is ultimately down to your own best effort, so it can be challenging depending on how hard you push yourself. You should have the desire to work hard in order to see results, with the sessions designed to test not only you physically, but your mental robustness.

What are the benefits of Legs, Bums & Tums (LBT)?

The LBT sessions are very diverse and can benefit a large number of factors to your body, you should be able to notice your body become more conditioned and toned after weeks of sessions, attainable through determination to push yourself. Increased flexibility and increased cardio vascular endurance with such a variation of exercises available at each station, with the aim of working hard for up to 60 minutes.

What does the class involve?

LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT™ is a martial arts-inspired fitness workout that is high-energy and completely contact free. Kick and punch your way to a fitter body while burning up to 740 calories* per class. No experience necessary. Body combat involves moves from Karate, Boxing, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Kung Fu and Capoeira. Release any built up stress, have a ton of fun and feel like a boss. Leave your inhibitions at the door and bring your best fighting attitude.

Who can attend Body Combat?

Body Combat classes are open to anyone and everyone. If you like the sound of punching and kicking your way to improved fitness while training your whole body, Body Combat may be for you. Beginners are more than welcome with no experienced required. You’ll start to pick up all punching and kicking techniques within minutes

Our Body Combat class will train your full body with a great cardio workout. Working your arms, legs back and shoulders, Body Combat will provide a great platform for your fitness regime. Improve agility, speed and coordination all while losing calories, feeling great and improving reaction times. The mix of punching and kicking techniques from a broad range of martial arts including Karate and Kung Fu is well regarded for its ability to let off steam and reduce stress levels.

What does the class involve?

Pump FX provide a full body workout using barbells and weight plates so if your fitness goal is to get lean then this would be a great class. Expect a large amount of squats, press ups and lunges while working at your own pace, choosing your desired weight and being able to see the improvements in no time. The instructor will be helping you with the correct techniques and giving you that extra encouragement throughout the class, ensuring that efficient results are achieved.

Who can attend Pump FX?

Whilst the involved exercises can easily put people off attending the class, we do encourage all levels of fitness to attend! Our Pump FX classes are designed to be tough for all of the attendees respectively, all while allowing you to choose your own comfortable weights to carry out the exercises with. You will start with lighter weights and progressively build up muscle to reach the heavier weights and continue to progress. Anyone can attend regardless of age or current level of fitness.

What are the benefits of Pump FX?

Building up to using heavier weights will allow you to burn fat and tone muscle easily, ultimately building muscular strength and more importantly your muscular endurance, achieved by completing more repositions on a single exercise than previously before. Each exercise involves some sort of cardio activity, with sessions lasting around 45-60 minutes. Prepare to sweat out the results and see big improvements in quick succession.

LES MILLS BODYPUMP™ is ideal for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit as fast as possible.

Performing repeated exercises using light to moderate weights, Body Pump will give you a full body workout and burn up to 590 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than you can on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. Expect the class to last up to an hour and burn lots of calories whilst enjoying your workout.

Our Body Pump classes are available to anyone and is great in combination with other classes. Within minutes of your first session you will begin working your full body using moderate and light weights, quickly picking up the simple exercises in the class. A class designed to strengthen your core. The programme is designed to improve not only your core but also your coordination, balance and posture by using controlled movements on a Fitball. Doing this class regularly is a great way for you to achieve your desired fitness goal, whilst meeting others with the same passion for the class in an enjoyable environment.

Who can attend Fitball?

We welcome any age and any level of fitness to try Fitball. If you want to achieve results in a relaxed and enjoyable environment then Fitball classes are the classes for you! Fitball will help you to improve your current level of core strength within the core group of muscles (Abdominals, thighs, lower back and hips) by utilising special techniques with a Swiss fitness ball. It is a unique training technique that if followed correctly can lead to significant results in a short amount of time. Available for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, with techniques taught throughout, so why not kick start your training with a Fitball class?

The class involves a variety of movements in an aerobics class that are set to the speed of the music. Aerobics is a great way to burn fat and when combined with a healthy diet makes an excellent tool for losing weight. In addition to being such an effective Aerobics Exercise, it doesn't have a steep learning curve. That means even for beginners getting started is easy, and the rest is enjoying the feeling of exercise burning fat.

Aerobics is a great option for almost anybody and a great exercise for newcomers and fitness fanatics alike. The class is easy to pick up and enjoy and provides a great full body workout. Pilates classes at 24/7 Fitness are performed in one of our large fitness studios. Practitioners link regular Pilate’s classes with improvements to muscle tone, balance, posture and mobility as well as the classes’ ability to reduce stress and tension levels. With something to offer for all ages and ability levels, Pilates is popular among elite athletes and fitness beginners alike. Pilates is fantastic in combination with other training techniques and can benefit full body strength and flexibility as well as reducing the risk of injury.

Who can attend Pilates?

Our Pilates classes are suitable for all levels of fitness or ability, with a broad range of available classes; from teaching you the basics of mat work, to testing your core strength and pushing yourself in the more advanced sessions available. This is what makes Pilates such a unique exercise to attend, whilst it may not test your cardio vascular endurance, you’re slowly beginning to build the core muscles within your body the more complex movements you perform. Slow movements relates to a good core stability, with this class being the perfect opportunity for athletes to return from past injuries who are trying to build up their muscle once again before going to a gym.

What are the benefits of Pilates?

You will see a drastic improvement in your core strength across a number of your key muscle groups; in turn you will be able to see improvements in your body tone within a few weeks of sessions. If you have previously struggled with an injury, why not build up muscle around the area with instructors recommending controlled movements to help prevent injury from occurring again. It is proven that Pilates will account for drastic results and improvements; this is why a number of key Olympic athletes and professional sports utilise the exercise in their training.

You are contracted to make 12 direct debit payments of £17.95, at the end of the 12 payments you will go onto a rolling contract which only requires a calendar months’ notice to cancel.If you would like to cancel at the end of the 12 month period to cancel your membership, simply cancel your direct debit at the bank (this will be in the name of Debit Finance Collections), your membership will end on the last day of the month in which you cancel your direct debit.

There are 3 ways you can join, you can join online through our website, you can join over the telephone, or you can come into any of our gyms during our manned hours and a member of the fitness team will be happy to help you.
We offer a £5 guest pass, you can get this at reception anytime during the manned hours, and if you decide to join on the day we will refund your fiver.
For a minimal fee you can train at all of our gyms on our Multi-site membership. Alternatively our single site allows you to train at your chosen gym.
Yes we do offer various paid upfront options ranging from day passes to annual multisite memberships.
Unfortunately you will need a UK bank account at this time.
The minimum age to use our facilities is 16 years old, however a responsible adult over the age of 18 would have to pay the direct debit.

247 Fitness - First Visit

PIN NUMBER: Simply enter your 8 digit PIN number into the keypad at the gate, you will here a soft click as the gate releases, then just walk on in.

FINGERPRINT ID: Simply enter your unique reference number into the fingerprint kiosk and follow the instructions to register your fingerprint. Then simply place your finger on the reader at the gate to allow entry. You only need to register your fingerprint on your first visit, once it is registered you may come and go as you please.

All of our gyms have full changing facilities, our lockers require a padlock, you can bring your own with you or you can buy one from us at reception.
There are 24/7 Fitness team members and personal trainers at all of our gyms who are there all of the time during our manned hours and they will be happy to help you.
There is a green exit button located next to the gate, simply push the button, wait for the soft click and then exit as you came in.

PIN NUMBER: If you think you may have made a mistake the first time, press the (*) button twice to reset the keypad and try again. If your PIN still doesn’t work, during manned hours press the call button next to the gate, if it happens outside of manned hours call the emergency phone number that is clearly displayed at the gate and at reception.

FINGERPRINT ID: If the reader does not allow you entry first time, simply wait for 5 seconds and try again, remember to lay your finger flat and do not exert downward pressure. Sometimes the PIN/Unique reference number email gets sent to your SPAM folder, it’s worth checking there first, if you still haven’t received it then simply call the gym number in manned hours, email or go to reception at the gym and they will be happy to let you know your PIN/Unique reference number.

247 Fitness - Membership

Yes, we are open 24hrs 365 days of the year, every couple of years we may need to close for a few hours for essential maintenance, but we will let you know well in advance if this is to happen.
Every 24/7 Fitness is monitored via extensive CCTV coverage. Every 24/7 Fitness has emergency phone points and a dedicated emergency phone number and there is always someone on duty to help you or call the emergency services. 24/7 Fitness gyms are fully manned between 7am-9pm (Mon-Thurs), and 8am-6pm (Fri - Sun). Waterlooville is manned 8am-3pm on Sundays.
The entire gym is monitored closely by CCTV during unmanned hours. There are emergency phone points and a dedicated emergency phone number you can call if you have any problems or concerns.
We do not issue cards; your unique PIN number or your registered fingerprint is your proof of membership.

PIN NUMBER: Under no circumstances can you give or share your PIN number with anybody else. To protect the interests and ensure the safety of our valued, paying members, offenders will have their membership cancelled without refund. We offer a free induction to all of our joining members, it is optional and you do not have to opt for it if you do not want to.
Call, email or visit the reception of the gym where you wish to do your induction and they will book you in.
We have personal trainers at our gyms and their prices vary between £20 and £30 per hour.They are there to help you reach your fitness goals faster and to offer nutritional advice. They are all level 3 NVQ qualified.
Simply cancel your direct debit with your bank. The direct debit is in the name of Debit Finance Collections, your membership will end on the last day of the month in which you cancel your direct debit with your bank . If you are on a No Contract membership you can do this at anytime, if you are on a 12 month contract the earliest you can do this is after making your 12th direct debit payment.

If you would like us to cancel it for you , you just need complete the form on the contact page on our website at least 10 days before your next payment is due and we will cancel it on your behalf. You can change any aspect of your membership using this form also, including any change of personal details you wish to inform us of.
You can freeze your membership for a maximum of 6 months in any one year, for a small charge (£5pm) by direct debit. You cannot cancel your membership whilst frozen and must give a full payment months notice if you do wish to cancel. Please also note that we would need at least 10 days notice before your next payment is due to arrange a freeze on your account.
Your rate is fixed at the time you join, and is unaffected by any future price increases. However, if you leave and rejoin you would be classed as a new member and subject to the current membership rates.
Free Wi-Fi is available at most of our gyms, ask a member of staff for the code.
Yes, all of our sites have ample free parking. (Please note it is restricted to 2hrs free at Gunwharf Quays during the week and between midnight and 10am on weekends, please contact reception at 24/7 Fitness Gunwharf for more details.) Fort Dunlop - Members will receive 2 hours free parking. To redeem the free parking members must validate their token as they leave the gym (Validator is on reception). If a member stays longer than 2 hours they will be charged £1.00 per 1.5 hours after that which is payable in the main Fort Dunlop building.
We do not supply paper towels and request that you bring your own gym towel, this is to keep membership costs at a minimum and to avoid unnecessary waste, in line with our Green Policy.
